"Very early into this sensuously mysterious novel, one realizes that the powerful and determined sea turtle of 500,000 years ago so elegantly and poignantly described in the prolog is not the only one who is Endangered. This story is not only a Who done it? but a very compelling Who’s doing it? I found myself being pulled between wanting to move to an island off the coast of Georgia to wanting to get as far away from one as I possibly could. Such tension is the mark of masterful writing. Bravo to the authors of this stunning mystery!"

Endangered manages to blend pre-history, history, and modern action and suspense into a seamless tale.
— Kenneth Butcher, Author of The Middle of the Air
Endangered is a trip to the sea islands. The background of those islands is really beautifully done. I love the way the authors wove in the setting — from the language (Gullah) to the food and the story telling.
So many things endangered — the turtles, the sea island way of life, and not to mention the whole business of being true to oneself as well as to others —layers of questions and layers of understanding!
After I got into the story, it just whizzed along. I liked the main character so much — lots of spunk. The authors did such a good job on dialog — just enough Gullah to give the flavor, not too much to bog the reader down. The plot was neat and surprising. It’s very clever the way all these characters fit into the puzzle — and they fit in so naturally.
Endangered is rich in all the things a book should be rich in — tension, moral questions, romance, sex.
— Diana Gleasner, Author of more than 40 books
I’m not a “whodunit” fan, but Endangered is so much more than that – especially the fine descriptions of sea island culture, ecological interests, and the very real emotions of great personal loss and emotional rehabilitation. ...
I’m amazed at the joint authorship. I heard only one voice.”
— Maryneal Jones, short story writer and former editor
Like feel of story. Vivid characters. Intriguing setting. Beautiful prolog. Excellent fire-fighting scene and good sex scene.
— Linda Lee Barclay, Literary Agent
Story sounds well-paced and imaginative.
— Jacqueline Cantor, Editor
Landscape descriptions are beautifully painted. Good tale.
— Betty Carpenter, Writer
What an exciting and suspenseful book you’ve written. I was especially taken by the extensive research you’ve done, not only about the loggerhead turtles, but the flora and fauna of the barrier islands, their function, their aura, and their significant history.
— Mildred Barger Herschler, Author of The Darkest Corner and The Walk into Morning
Combination of ecological and historical interest coupled with commercial story line is a fine idea.
— Dawn Seferian, Editor
Story is unusual and setting intriguing.
— John Sterling, Editor
I loved reading Endangered! Good job with the suspense and with making Melanie a sympathetic character.
— Gloria Underwood, former English Professor, Savannah College of Art & Design
